Cynthia Hatfield is a PADI Divemaster and IATSE Local 600 Underwater Operator, born in Austin, TX, and currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
Our bodies and our planet are both ~71% water. Over 50% of the air we breath comes from phytoplankton and seaweed. "The fate of the deep sea & the fate of our planet are intimately intertwined"*, and our fate with them. Our connection to our environment and the deep sea pulls Cynthia to explore and share the wonders of the underwater world, in hopes that we may choose together to protect it, our communities, and ourselves.
